At Home Extension Guide
Hand-tied extensions are an investment — how you care for them at home makes all the difference. Here’s what to know to keep them looking seamless, healthy, and fresh between appointments.
Brush Often, Gently
Use a soft bristle or extension-friendly brush to prevent tangling and matting at the root. Always support your rows with your hand when brushing, especially near the weft. Start from the ends and work your way up — slow and gentle wins.
Wash With Intention
Stick to sulfate-free, extension-safe products. Focus shampoo at the scalp and conditioner from mid-lengths to ends. Be thorough, but don’t scrub aggressively at the wefts. Wash 1–2 times per week, and always dry fully to avoid buildup or tension.
Protect While You Sleep
Never sleep with wet hair. Always brush and secure it before bed — a loose braid, low pony, or silk scrunchie does the trick. A silk pillowcase helps reduce friction, too. The better you treat your hair overnight, the longer it lasts.
Our Extension Lines..
We carry Intertwined and JZ Styles as well as sourcing hair from our private weft supplier. We choose to carry variety of extension lines at the salon and this allows us to find the perfect match and texture for your hair. It’s important to know that each extension line’s wefts are going to be different weight and densities so this allows us to choose based on your hair’s needs.
